Sleeping in the Cybertruck Bed

The cargo-bed floor measures 71.84 inches long by 51.00 inches wide. Check the mattress against the actual truck and any installed bed accessories before a trip.

Tesery sells a Cybertruck-specific camping mattress for the truck bed.

Tesla's CyberTent mounts above the cargo bed and packs below the tonneau cover. Tesla currently lists it for Cyberbeast and Premium All-Wheel Drive vehicles only. It requires L-Tracks, is not compatible with Cybertruck MOLLE Panels, and cannot be deployed with the Bed Cargo Divider installed.

Test the complete sleeping setup before a trip with the mattress, bedding, shelter, tailgate position, and overnight gear in place.

Camp Mode and CyberTent Mode

Camp Mode maintains cabin temperature and powers USB and low-voltage outlets while someone remains inside the Cybertruck. While Camp Mode is active, Sentry Mode and the vehicle alarm are disabled and Walk-Away Door Lock is inactive.

CyberTent Mode is for the Tesla CyberTent. It levels the suspension, opens and locks out the tonneau-cover controls, provides front and rear light controls, and allows the AC outlets to remain on. CyberTent Mode also disables Walk-Away Door Lock.

Cargo-Bed Power

Cargo-bed outlets vary by market, configuration, and manufacture date. When equipped, Cybertruck has two 120-volt outlets and one 240-volt outlet in the cargo bed. The two 120-volt outlets are limited to 20 amps combined, and all AC outlets together are limited to 40 amps.

Keep Outlets On can continue supplying power after the truck is unoccupied, but Tesla states that it shuts off after 12 hours or when the high-voltage battery falls below 5 percent. CyberTent Mode allows the outlets to remain on while that mode is active.

Privacy and Weather Protection

A truck-bed shelter protects the sleeping area from weather and outside visibility. For the cabin glass, fitted shades reduce outside light and add privacy while the truck is parked.

Test the shelter and shades before the trip so the mattress, bedding, doors, tailgate, and overnight gear still work together.

Battery and Charging Before Sleep

Start the night with enough battery for overnight climate or accessory use, the morning drive, and the next charging stop. Overnight battery use varies with weather, cabin settings, CyberTent Mode, lighting, and electrical loads.

Charge before the overnight stop when practical. At a campground, use site power only when permitted and with compatible equipment.

Gear Storage

Keep the truck bed as clear as possible when it will be used for sleeping. Move hard gear, charging equipment, and items that are not needed overnight to other storage areas before setting up the bed.

Cybertruck Compared With Other Teslas

Model Y, Model 3, Model X, and Model S camping generally uses the passenger cabin as the sleeping area. Cybertruck instead provides a 71.84-by-51-inch cargo-bed floor and an official CyberTent option for a truck-bed sleeping setup.
