Sleeping Space in the Model S

With the rear seats folded, the Model S provides useful sleeping length but less headroom than Model Y or Model X. Position the front seats for the night and keep the mattress low enough for comfortable entry, exit, and movement.

A purpose-fit mattress can reduce shifting and make the sleeping surface easier to manage. Test it with the hatch closed, the front seats in their overnight position, the window covers installed, and the gear you plan to keep inside.

Camp Mode in a Model S

Camp Mode can maintain cabin temperature while the Model S is parked. Set it before spreading out the bedding so the touchscreen, vents, and doors remain easy to reach.

Use a moderate cabin temperature and monitor battery reserve, especially in hot or cold weather.

Window Covers and Privacy

The windshield, roof glass, rear glass, and side windows all admit light. Fitted window covers improve privacy and block outside light.

Battery and Charging Before Sleep

Start the night with enough battery for Camp Mode, the morning drive, and the next charging stop. Overnight battery use varies with weather and cabin temperature.

Charge before the overnight stop when practical. At a campground, use site power only when permitted and with compatible equipment.
