Model X sleeping space depends heavily on the seating configuration. Different interiors can create different gaps, rails, and floor heights, so test the mattress in the actual vehicle.

Test the bed with the doors closed, the front seats in their overnight position, the window covers installed, and the gear you plan to keep inside. Include pillows, blankets, shoes, and charging cables in the test.

Doors, Glass, and Setup Space

Load and organize bags before spreading out the bed. Keep the driver area accessible and leave a clear path from the sleeping area to the driver seat.

The larger cabin can hold more gear, but hard luggage and loose items still reduce usable sleeping space.

Camp Mode in a Model X

Camp Mode can maintain cabin temperature while the Model X is parked. Set it before spreading out the bedding so the touchscreen, vents, and doors remain easy to reach.

Use a moderate cabin temperature and monitor battery reserve, especially in hot or cold weather.

Window Covers and Privacy

The windshield, roof glass, hatch glass, and side windows all admit light. Fitted window covers improve privacy and block outside light.

Battery and Charging Before Sleep

Start the night with enough battery for Camp Mode, the morning drive, and the next charging stop. Overnight battery use varies with weather and cabin temperature.

Charge before the overnight stop when practical. At a campground, use site power only when permitted and with compatible equipment.
